about
Doomocracy - Trinity of fates
lyrics
Underneath the endless skies
Through the ancient halls of time
Lurking in the dim of moonlight
Born out of the womb of night
No one is above their trial
Nor the vicious hate of Gods
Standing by the newborn's bedside
For they plan its fate to hold
Consuming endlessly, suffocatingly
Weird Sisters hunt to find and to keep
Abject at sight, offsprings of Night
Spinning and measuring the thread of life
Not of this world? Tale to be told?
Mythical entities of stories untold?
Adamant (at) fate, chanting prayers in vain
Sucking and reaping till nothing remains
Sisters of Keres,
Nemesis and Death
Weighting the souls on scales
Trinity of Fates
Make your last amends say your goodbyes
Save in hand a pair of dimes
Whether you were a king or a slave
In the book of Fates you're last in line
Consuming endlessly, suffocatingly
Weird Sisters hunt to find and to keep
Abject at sight, offsprings of Night
Spinning and measuring the thread of life
Not of this world? Tale to be told?
Mythical entities of stories untold?
Adamant (at) fate, chanting prayers in vain
Sucking and reaping till nothing remains

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
