about
Doomocracy - Visions & creatures of imagination
lyrics
Sleeping in a tomb, among the dead
Naked and gruesome they stand
Kept under guard with chains in their hands
Contaminating the men
Tortured by sin, in a psilocin dream
Deranged, condemned, gone insane from sin within
Demons possessing, tormented souls
Unclean and evil, will you be gone?
To the pigs who drowned in a lake
They are the Demons of Gerasenes
Hiding behind your most intimate fear
Making your sense disappear
In darkness they descend, tormenting sunrise
They are in every man, who lives in vain
Visions and creatures of imagination
So you just close your eyes and look away now
Servants of hell, spawns of the dead
Whispering secrets of death
With foul tongues and desperate songs
They are corrupting the land
Fiery eyes ambiguous lies
Flying on wings of the damned, lunacy, obscenity
As Behemoth once was tamed by God
We’ll cast the demons out of our minds
Don’t trust your eyes they’re deceivers of night
Come out of darkness and into the light
Conjure the demons from inside your head
Or you’d be better off dead
In darkness they descend, tormenting sunrise
They are in every man, who lives in vain
Visions and creatures of imagination
You just close your eyes they’ll go away now
In darkness they descend, tormenting sunrise
They are in every man, who lives in vain
Visions and creatures of imagination
You just close your eyes they’ll go away now

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
